Towards a Molecular-Level Understanding of Atmospheric Aerosols (MUOAA 2026)

19-22 May 2026 Montreal (Canada)

Overview

Towards a Molecular-Level Understanding of Atmospheric Aerosols (MUOAA 2026) convenes scientists who probe aerosols from the molecule to the global scale through laboratory experiments, field campaigns, and advanced modeling.

Dates: 19–22 May 2026

Venue: Otto Maass Chemistry Building, McGill University (Downtown Campus), Montréal, Canada.

Abstract submission deadline: 16 Jan 2026

Registration deadline: 2 Mar 2026

Building on the 2024 edition, MUOAA 2026 will:

  • Showcase recent advances in new-particle formation; internal structure and phase behavior; heterogeneous and multiphase (photo)chemistry; gas–surface interactions; ice/cloud nucleation; optical properties; and bioaerosols.

  • Connect fundamental molecular insights to their impacts on climate, air quality, and health.

  • Provide ample time for posters, discussion groups, and networking to strengthen our interdisciplinary community.

The program will feature lectures by leading experimentalists and theoreticians, contributed talks selected from abstracts, and poster sessions.
