Getting to McGill (Downtown Campus)

Venue address: McGill University (Downtown), 845 Sherbrooke St. W, Montréal, QC H3A 0G4. The campus is adjacent to McGill métro station on the Green line.

Conference venue: Otto Maass Chemistry Building (on McGill’s Downtown Campus).

From Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL)

Option 1 — 747 Airport Bus (24/7)

  • Route: YUL → Lionel-Groulx or Berri-UQAM (downtown).

  • Fare: $11.25 CAD per person; includes 24-hour unlimited transit in Zone A (bus, métro, exo trains, and REM).

  • To McGill: From Lionel-Groulx, take the Green line toward Honoré-Beaugrand to McGill (2 stops).

Option 2 — Taxi / Ride-hail

  • Flat fare to downtown from the official airport taxi queue: $49.45 CAD (05:00–23:00) or $56.70 CAD (23:00–05:00). Credit cards widely accepted.

Option 3 — Driving

  • Typical time: ~25–40 minutes depending on traffic.

  • Follow A-20/A-720 toward downtown and navigate to Sherbrooke St. W near campus.

Arriving by Train (VIA Rail / Amtrak at Gare Centrale)

  • Central Station (Gare Centrale) is downtown, about 1 km from campus.

  • Options to reach McGill: Walk 12–15 minutes north to Sherbrooke St. W, take a short bus to Station McGill, or use the métro (Bonaventure → transfer to the Green line).

Local Transit Once Downtown

  • Closest métro: McGill (Green line). Multiple entrances; elevator access at 705 De Maisonneuve Ouest.

  • Tickets & passes: Buy at any métro station. (If you purchase the 747 fare on arrival, it already includes a 24-hour unlimited pass in Zone A.)
